Melissa Nau, MD is an executive coach and psychiatrist who specializes in helping individuals and teams realize their full professional and personal potential. Her 20 years of experience as a doctor and health care innovator uniquely position her to hone her clients’ leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills at all stages of their development.

Melissa began her career on Wall Street in venture capital at Citigroup. Subsequently, she completed medical training in New York at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and her residency and fellowship at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). She worked at UCSF’s community hospital, Zuckerberg San Francisco General, in numerous leadership roles, including as medical director of Psychiatric Emergency Services; director of the High-Risk Obstetrics Psychiatry Service; and cofounder of a hospital-based startup, the Solid Start Initiative. As a psychiatrist and coach, Melissa has received numerous leadership and teaching awards, has been published in multiple medical journals, and has extensive public-speaking experience.

Melissa is based in Park City, Utah. When she is not coaching or doctoring, she can be found spending time with her husband and three children and pushing her personal limits backcountry skiing and mountain biking.
